Chinese Medicine

Acupuncture

Chinese Medicine (CM) is an integrated system of primary health care that has an
uninterrupted history of worldwide use and development that dates back to over two
thousand years. CM can be considered one of the original holistic medical systems
in the world.

It has a unique view of health and disease based on the concept of holism which
sees all the body systems (the parts) intimately connected and working together to
maintain balance in the body (the whole).
Because of this unique approach, CM is capable of treating a wide variety of
common modern day health complaints.

What does a Chinese Medicine consultation involve?

A consultation will typically begin with a conversation about your main complaint.
You may also be asked about your health history, or other questions relating to your
general health. Your practitioner will also look at your tongue and assess your pulse
at your wrist.

You will always receive acupuncture treatment at your consultation. Massage,
herbal medicine, diet and lifestyle advice may also be given depending on your
circumstances
